Ely Arts Festival 2024 kicks off this Saturday (June 15) with a free family fun day by the river at Jubilee Gardens. 

The event starts at 11am with a performance from Cambridgeshire Music Ensemble.

Cliff 'n' Jade then take to the stage at 11.50am, King's Ely Dance Troupe at 12.30pm and East Cambs Wind Band at 1.30pm.

Shake, Rattle & Roll perform from 2.30pm, Foolhardy Circus from 3.45pm and Fred's House at 4.30pm.

Artist Lizzie Ault will be at the festival teaching people how to create embossed eels, too, and there will be add to the underwater-themed community mural. 

Chris Parsons of the festival team, said: "There’s lots to enjoy including a variety of music acts on the bandstand, face painting, interactive craft stalls, garden games, storytelling and circus skills.

"Food and drink vans during the day include Pizza Passione, Nomadough, Cool Beans Coffee and beer from Three Blind Mice.

"Come down for a creative and fun day."
