The fifth in a series a walking and cycling maps for Fenland has been launched, encouraging people to explore the village of Manea.

The map features local walks and cycling routes along with useful local information and places to visit.

There are now five walking and cycling maps for the district, created as part of Fenland District Council's Cycling, Walking and Mobility Aid Improvement Strategy.

A council spokesperson said: "With its relatively flat landscape, the Fens is one of the best places in the country to walk or cycle, providing lots of easy terrain for all ages and abilities to enjoy.

"Our series of walking and cycling maps will help people to make the most of these routes, whether travelling for work or school or exploring the area for leisure."

The latest Manea map was designed by FourPoint Mapping in consultation with local stakeholders, including Manea Parish councillors and members of Manea's walking group.

The map was funded by the East Midlands Railways Community Development Fund, Community Rail Network's Community Development Fund and Fenland's Hereward Community Rail Partnership.

All five maps are available to download from FDC's 'walking and cycling maps' webpage or picked up from community outlets across Fenland.

The maps are also available to download from the Hereward Community Rail Partnership website.
