Twenty firefighters tackled a petrol station blaze involving two cars yesterday. 

Crews were called to the on the fire on the A14 eastbound at around 1.54pm.

Firefighters including crews from Cambridge and the south roaming fire engine, along with crews from Newmarket in Suffolk, attended the incident.

Crews arrived to find two cars well alight on a petrol station forecourt.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 4pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
