East Cambridgeshire District Council have started a competition to name 10 new waste and recycling vehicles that have been purchased by the council.

Councillor Julia Huffer, Chair of East Cambridgeshire District Council's Operational Services Committee, said: "We want to give each of our new vehicles a name that is fitting to the task in hand.

"To get you started we think there should certainly be a Trash Gordon and a Dusty Bin in the mix.

“I am confident the residents of East Cambs will surprise us with their imagination, and hopefully we’ll get a whole ‘tip-load’ of entries.”

The winning names will be put on the front of the vehicles.
