A driver who had his vehicle seized in East Cambridgeshire claimed he was unaware he didn’t have any insurance, and that he didn’t realise he’d been disqualified from driving since October.
Police response officers stopped his vehicle in Fordham Road, Soham, on Tuesday night (January 23) after spotting the rear lights were not working.
The driver said he had driven from London in search of used cooking oil.
He claimed he was unaware he didn’t have any insurance, and that he didn’t realise he’d been disqualified from driving since October.
His vehicle was seized and he’ll receive a court summons through the post.
