There was a high police presence in Ely last night (Sunday, December 10) - here’s why.
A 29-year-old man from Cambridge was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a vehicle.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: “We were called at about 11.45pm last night to reports of a break in at a shop in Market Place, Ely.
“Officers attended and a 29-year-old man from Cambridge was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a vehicle.
“He remains in custody at Parkside police station.”
