The cause of a house fire on Sunday night (November 26) has been confirmed.
Crews from Ely and Cottenham were called to a house fire on Akeman Close in Stretham at 10:09pm.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
“The crews returned to their stations by 1am.
“The cause of the fire was accidental."
