Rogue traders are reported to be targeting elderly and vulnerable residents in Littleport.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary say they have received several reports and are warning residents to be aware of it.
A spokesperson for the force said: “They offer services like gardening or maintenance but will often deliver poor quality work at inflated prices.
“Avoid doorstep sellers! Seek at least three quotes from trusted companies before committing to any work.”
