A child who went missing at the Ely fireworks event on Sunday was found thanks to the joint work of neighbourhood officers and police cadets.
Amidst the festivities, the force's cadets played a "crucial role" locating a missing child, said a spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
"With remarkable speed, they relayed a description over the radio, leading to the child’s swift return.
"It’s moments like these that highlight the impact our cadets and police officers have in our community," the spokesperson added.
