A van was found well alight in a layby on the A1303.
A crew from Cambridge, along with a crew from Newmarket, was called to the blaze near Swaffham Bulbeck on Tuesday October 31.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters extinguished the fire using a hose reel.
They returned to their stations by 7.15pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
