During half-term, Ely Roller Skating Club held a special fundraising fun skate Halloween party at Littleport Leisure on Wednesday, October 25.

As parents and grandparents proudly looked on, a party atmosphere prevailed as prizes for game winners and fancy-dress wearers were the only interruptions to the roller-skating fun, in ambient lighting, enjoyed by everyone in the hall.

Maddison Bourn fresh from her gold medal success in the nationals marshalled the 40 odd youngsters as they whizzed around to music.

Maddison’s coach and head coach of the Club for many years now retired, Brian Paddington, dropped by in support.

Who knows? Many of today’s roller-skating revellers could be medallists in years to come!

The event, planned by the ERSC fun skate organisers, Rebecca Pont and Corin Arnold along with committee members Natasha Gabriel and Kayley Lane, raised over £200.
