A large art event which was established back in 2010 is returning to The Maltings in Ely this weekend.

Taking place over November 4-5, Art Unequalled brings together over 45 artists working in a whole range of media to the highest standards.

All the artists will be present to meet the public and chat to them about their work.

14 years ago, local sculptor Sally Dunham created Art Unequalled and says she is proud of the reputation it has gained as a high-quality event.

Sally strongly believes that art should be accessible to all and for all budgets.

“At Art Unequalled you will find individually handmade work presented direct from the makers to suit all tastes and budgets, from Christmas stocking fillers , to investment pieces,” she said.

“All the artists will be on hand to talk to visitors about their work and making process, with a selection also demonstrating their techniques during the event.”

For the past eight years, Art Unequalled has been proud to have raised thousands for Cancer Research, running a raffle at the show, with prizes very generously donated by the exhibiting artists.

The raffle will be running again this year and there are always some fantastic prizes to win. Tickets are £1 and available to purchase at the event.

Sally added: “This years event brings together 46 makers from across the country; so whether you are looking to start your Christmas shopping, are searching for a piece of art for your home, or are just looking for somewhere interesting to visit over the weekend, Art Unequalled shouldn’t be missed!”
