Ely Cathedral is playing host to a powerful photographic exhibition examining the stories and experiences of young Sahrawi refugees in Algerian refugee camps.

They and their families have fled political instability in Western Sahara.

The exhibition entitled 'Sand & Vision' is a thought-provoking showcase of resilience and hope, as part of a programme to nurture the art of storytelling, empowering young refugees to document their own stories.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Olive Branch Arts and the acclaimed and award-winning photographer Emma Brown, and its arrival in Ely has been facilitated by Amnesty International Ely City group.

Sand & Vision will be in the South West Transept of Ely Cathedral until Saturday, October 14.
