A person had to be cut out from their vehicle after being involved in a four-car collision last night (Monday, August 7).
At 6:04pm, fire crews from Ely and Cottenham were called to a road traffic collision on Ely Road in Stretham.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue said: “Firefighters arrived to find a collision involving four cars.
“Using specialist equipment, they released a casualty who was left in the care of ambulance crews. Four casualties were out of their vehicles when crews arrived.”
The crews returned to their stations by 8.30pm.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: "We were called at about 6pm on Monday (August 7) to reports of a road traffic collision involving four cars at Ely Road in Stretham.
"Firefighters cut out one casualty who received serious injuries which were not life-threatening.
"Four casualties were out of their vehicles when crews arrived".
