A craft fair at St Andrew's Church in Witchford raised nearly £300 towards church funds.

Despite the inclement weather, footfall was good and £291 was raised by attendees.

Visitors to the fair were able to browse some wonderful stalls within the church and church hall.

There was a wood turner, a jewellery maker, handmade candles and wax melts, lots of different handmade fabric items, soft furnishings, some very unusual Lego art, and a cake stall filled with goodies.

There was entertainment in the form of a handmade lace-making demonstration, drumming in the church, and a children's button art activity.

The event was supported by some very hard-working local volunteers who shifted furniture, including some very heavy pews.

They also sold raffle tickets, made endless cups of tea and generally turned their hand to whatever was needed.

It is hoped that another similar event will take place later in the year.
