A children’s nursery building in Ely is to be sold at auction next month (July).

Bright Horizons Day Nursery and Preschool building situated in Cambridgeshire Business Park in Angel Drove, will be sold at the Atticus commercial property auction with a guide price of £1.6m.

The 7,723 sq ft property at 5 Saint Thomas Place is entirely let to Bright Horizons Nursery at £110,000 per annum.

The tenants have been in occupation since 2003 and have recently signed a new lease expiring April 2043, subject to five yearly RPI linked reviews.

There will be no impact on the nursery, staff or parents.

Charlie Powter of Acuitus said: “The property is located within the well-established Cambridgeshire Business Park, and there is no doubt that the childcare sector is one of the expansive sectors within the current economy.

“We expect an asset of this type to attract significant investor interest.”

The Acuitus auction will take place on Thursday, July 13 at 2pm.

It will be broadcast via livestream on the Acuitus website and offers online, telephone and proxy bidding.

Cambridgeshire Business Park is also home to Harry Specters, Ely Aquatics & Reptiles, and many more.
