Burwell held its annual fete on Saturday, on the grounds of St Marys church in the village.

Organised by Rev. Dr Eleanor Williams and supporting the National Great Big Green Week (June 10-18), the fete was part of the Uk's biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.

Villagers enjoyed stalls from local businesses, BBQs, and a break from the sunshine, inside the church with homemade cakes and afternoon teas.

Lots of fun and games were available for the children (and adults) along with the annual teddy zip line.

Children brought their favourite teddies to be parachuted down the zip line from the top of the church's tower.

Steve Smith supported the event as community member pioneer for the Co-op by donating a big fairtrade hamper for the raffle.

He said: "It was a lovely day, we had great weather and it's always nice to be out in such an amazing community."
