Tributes have been paid to a "much-loved" Ely man who died in a motorbike crash on the Sixteen Foot Bank. 

Brian Dewey, 73, of Main Street, Little Thetford, died at the scene of the collision on Saturday June 3.

Police and paramedics were called to the B1098, between Stonea and Manea, at just after 12noon following the collision involving a blue Volvo V60 and an orange Kawasaki Vulcan motorbike.

In a statement his family said: “Brian was much loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him."

The driver of the Volvo, a 64-year-old woman, received minor injuries. She remained at the scene and is assisting enquiries.

Police are now renewing their appeal for witnesses to the collision.
