A man caught with cash and class A drugs in Milton has been jailed.

Police from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) raided the home of 35-year-old Abas Dishi, in Milton, in December last year (2022) following information received that he was dealing class A drugs.

Officers found cocaine and a cutting agent, more than £5,500 in cash, mobile phones and an extendable police baton.

At Peterborough Crown Court on Friday (May 12), Dishi, of Lodge Park, Milton, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison, after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property.

Detective Sergeant Alexander Coubrough, from ERSOU, said: “We’re working daily to target those who come to Cambridgeshire to deal drugs.

“Members of the public can help us by reporting suspicious activity. This could include vehicles coming and going, especially at night, and different people arriving at a property near you. No matter how insignificant it may seem, we want to know so we can build up a picture of what is happening where you live.”
