Littleport offers an amazingly diverse round of activities, all within walking distance figuratively speaking, and at an equally diverse choice of venues.

Customarily it’s Littleport Leisure centre that’s the first port of call as it’s purpose-built with a well-appointed gymnasium and is choc a bloc with classes of all kinds and sessions that include roller skating and dancing.

On Tuesday 18th Line Dancing from 1.30-2.30pm. £5 includes tea or coffee.

But Littleport Ex-Servicemen’s Club has recently bought 3 coin operated Premier Blackball tables with Strachan 861 cloth and Aramith Pro Cup balls.

As well as being available to casual users, they will feature in regular competitions involving the Club’s 5 Pool teams! They have 4 darts teams too.

And you can have a game of darts at The Crown Inn any time. They have a darts team or two playing other pubs and will be playing in the Summer League. And to exercise your lungs, Purple Star Karaoke is this Saturday 15th at 8pm.

Littleport Townlands Charity just bought the old Salvation Army building in City Road, renamed it appropriately Feoffees Hall (pronounced feefeez and means in trust for the benefit of the community) and had the first yoga session there last Tuesday evening (07793060032).

The old Town Hall became the library, and Tuesday 18th at 2-3.30pm at the monthly social and information session called Engage, the speaker is Nora Gardner.

And the brand-new Youth and Community Centre hosts the Dice and Decks games club for 11–18-year-olds Friday 14th 5.30-8.30pm.

The Centre, Feoffees Hall, The Village Hall and Library can be hired.
