With the Easter bank holiday weekend just around the corner, here are nine Easter events in and around Ely to keep the whole family entertained. 

1. Skylark Easter Funyard

This year, you and your family can enjoy Skylark’s giant Funyard, a special Easter comedy show, and lamb feeding. It’s been described as a ‘special experience you’ll remember forever’. 

Tickets are available now until April 16 and you can use the code ‘EASTERFUN’ to save per ticket.

2. Eucharist and Easter Egg Hunt at Ely Cathedral 

Children and families are very welcome to the Easter Day Cathedral service and there will be a parallel act of worship for children in the Lady Chapel. 

The children also help process the decorated cross through the cathedral and are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt at the end of the service. 

3. Easter Basket Crafting at Oliver Cromwell’s House 

Join those at Oliver Cromwell’s House for a wonderful session of crafting and laughing this Easter. 

All materials are provided and there will even be something to pop in your basket to take home. 

Sessions will run from 11am on Thursday, April 6 and Thursday, April 11. 

Sessions are priced at £5 per child and children must be accompanied by an adult.

4. Spring crafts and a Victorian Easter Trail at The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey

Join the team for children’s spring crafts and a Victorian Easter Trail. 

Free children’s crafts will be offered on April 6,7,13 and 14. 

The Museum and Docky Box café will be open from 10am until 4pm and normal admission prices apply. 

5. Easter Weekend at South Angle Farm Park

Over the Easter weekend, you can visit the farm and feed many animals by hand, including llamas, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and geese, as well as lambs for Easter! 

Public feeding sessions for the lambs happen three times a day, so you won’t miss out. 

If you want to meet the lambs in a smaller, more personal sessions, the farm also has lamb experiences available. 

You can visit the farm between 10am and 5pm. No ticket is required for under 2s. 

6. Foodie Friday 

It’s Spring and that can only mean one thing, Foodie Fridays are back! 

Starting this Friday, April 7, from 4pm until 8:30pm, there’s an incredible food and drink line up, live music, plenty of seating and hopefully a spot of sunshine to welcome the bank holiday weekend. 

7. Easter escape room at Oliver Cromwell’s House 

On Monday, April 10, Oliver Cromwell’s House is hosting ‘The Golden Egg Edition’ escape room for just one day only. 

Lasting 45 minutes, successful teams will receive the golden egg! 

The game is suggested for six players and is priced at £75 per session. 

8. Easter Holiday Crafts at Ely Museum 

Join Ely Museum this Easter holiday for a ‘In The Reeds’ themed craft session. 

Theer is no need to book, just drop into the museum any time between 11am-3pm to enjoy the activities and explore the museum 

Normal museum tickets or an annual pass are required, and craft tickets are an additional £3 per child, tickets available on the door. 

9. Easter Pooch Mooch at RSPCA Block Fen Animal Centre 

Join anytime from 11am until 2pm on Easter Saturday (April 8) for a stroll around one of the three dog walking routes the centre has planned. 

Bronze – 2km, Silver – 4.5km, and Gold – 6.2km. 

The routes consist of beautiful off road walking on private land by kind permission of Skylark Lakes and Garden Centre. 

Treat yourself to a delicious slice of homemade cake and a cuppa after your walk at the centre’s pop-up coffee shop. 

£5 per dog to raise money for the animal centre.
