A Christmas Craft Fair in St Andrew's Church Hall in Witchford, Ely, has raised £122.70 for the church and provided a "touch of joy" for locals.

More than 100 people attended the craft fair on November 26, with many items up for grabs, including seasonal crochet figures, woodcraft, jewellery, sewing, and Christmas decorations and wreaths.

Organiser Susan Maud and her team of stall-holders and volunteers ensured the event ran smoothly, and many enjoyed tea, coffee and lunch served by willing volunteers throughout the day.

The event was shared with the Witchford Rackham Pre-School, and Hannah Pauley and her team set up their tombola and raffle outside, raising valuable funds for the under-5s in the village.

When the raffle was drawn, the winner of the recent poetry competition, David Maud, was presented with the Tedora Shield.

Churchwarden Rosemary Westwell said: "Susan was delighted with the success of her first craft fair, and we should watch this space for another one before Spring."
