ORGAN enthusiasts flocked to Little Downham on Saturday for a MAGPAS fund-raising event.

Trevor Brown and his family have organised the Organ Extravaganza for the last 17 years, with the help of Mr Brown's sister Julia Freeman, her husband Alan, and their son Richard.

Mr Brown, who is a member of the British Organ Grinder's Association, brought 20 organs and their owners to the village hall, from as far afield as Somerset and Cumbria.

Although Mr Brown owns a hand-turned organ, some of those on display made use of modern technology - reading music via microchips.

More than 1,355 was raised for medical charity MAGPAS, from entrance fees, sponsorship, raffles and a 'Guess the Name of the Tiger' competition.
