A MAN given a four-month electronic curfew order for assaulting Councillor Andy Wright admitted breaching it this week, by staying away from his curfew address for 34 nights.

Ely magistrates decided to extend Mark Garrod's curfew order by a further month, after hearing how he had changed his accommodation on a number of occasions.

Garrod, 36, now of High Street, Littleport, must stay indoors between 7pm and 7 am every day except Tuesdays, when he is allowed out until 10.30pm to attend a domestic abuse course.

The curfew will now end on August 25. The court ordered Garrod to pay 35 costs.
