A MAN who has denied harassing his former girlfriend was remanded in custody by Ely magistrates on Thursday, after admitting that he breached the conditions of his bail.
Gavin Butler, 22, is accused of harassing Sarah Louise Guy between October 12 2006 and June 7 2009, by using threatening words or behaviour, assaulting her, and assaulting her causing actual bodily harm.
Ely magistrates declined jurisdiction, and adjourned the case for a committal hearing on August 27.
Butler admitted he breached his bail by contacting Ms Guy on July 29, by making a gesture towards her, from his car.
"The meeting was by chance, he did not go out to see her," explained solicitor Robert Milsom.
