STUDENTS at the City of Ely Community College ran the Sports Relief Mile on Friday and raised �879 for charity.
The event was organised by student Matt Hobbs as part of his leisure studies course and around 270 students from the college ran the mile around a course set up in college grounds.
Matt said: "I am very pleased with the result because I put a lot of effort into promoting the event and want to thank everyone for their support."
