MAGISTRATES warned Soham man Darryl Murfitt that he could face a spell behind bars when he returns for sentencing later this month.
Appearing at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, magistrates said all sentencing options would be considered for the 22-year-old, including a possible prison sentence.
Murfitt, of 44 The Causeway, pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting PC Denis Williams when he appeared at the court on April 19 and was also convicted of racially aggravated harassment.
The 22-year-old was released on conditional bail and he was ordered to re-appear again on June 9 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
