A MOTORIST had to clamber free from a vehicle after it flipped onto its roof following a collision in Ely on Saturday.
The incident took place shortly before 5pm on Lynn Road where it meets the junction with Kings Avenue.
Police and fire crews were called after a black Fore Fiesta flipped onto its roof and onto a grass verge.
Fortunately, the driver of the car suffered only minor injuries in the incident and there were no pedestrians on the pavement at the time.
Fire-fighters ensured the vehicle was safe before it was eventually removed and the road reopened to traffic by about 6pm.
