PARADISE Pool, Ely, is to get improved changing rooms and a refurbished break as part of a �50,000 makeover.
The investment is being made by East Cambridgeshire District Council and Everyone Active, which has now taken charge of the pool.
Councillor Richard Hobbs, chairman of the community and environment committee, said: “It is great to see Everyone Active hitting the ground running with so many great ideas and plans.
“We have both made a real investment into the Paradise Pool and I hope residents see a real difference when the work is completed.
“Please bear with us over the next couple of weeks as we work to create a swimming experience of the highest standards.”
Everyone Active will also be introducing a range of activities from a swimming lesson programmes to results cards to use for fitness swimming to help people achieve 30 minutes of activity five times a week.
