THIEVES have stolen a rare Second World War bomb trolley from a premises in Burwell.

Offenders took the black eight-foot long RAF trolley, which still had its four original military tyres, from a company in Factory Road between 9.30am on Sunday (September 2) and 7.30am the following day.

Power tools, farming equipment and metal, including 30 sheets of corrugated steel, were also taken during the burglary.

Detective Inspector Donna Wass said: “This is a very distinctive trolley which was being used to transport bricks and tiles around the site.

“All of the stolen property is likely to be covered in a light-red clay dust and I would urge anyone with information to call police.”

Anyone with any information should call DI Wass on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
