THIEVES tried to force their way into an Ely jewellery store.
Two offenders smashed the front window of Italian Jewellery, in High Street Passage, at about 2.30am on Friday (December 7).
However, they failed to gain entry to the shop and made off from the scene, with police believing they may have fled on bicycles.
PC Rob Savill, investigating, said: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information or saw two people cycling away from the High Street around the time of the incident, to call police.”
Anyone with any information should call PC Savill on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
