SOHAM teenager Rebecca Storey rode away with a brand new bike after being selected as the winner of a competition to celebrate the new ElyYouth.com website.
A special youth showcase was held in Ely last week to mark the website going live, which featured an afternoon of dance and demonstration. A fair was also held at the Paradise Centre.
Rebecca, 15, who attends Soham Village College, appeared in a Flashmob which took place in Ely’s Market Place as part of the festivities.
The bike was donated by Tesco and Rebecca received the bike on Friday in a ceremony presented by the mayor of Ely, Councillor Will Burton and head of the Ely Youth committee, Councillor John Yates. Also in attendance was Breda Walton, community manager for Tesco in Ely and Rebecca’s father, Des.
