AN Ely pub’s family fun day raised more than £720 for charity.
Minister Tavern’s day of activities on Cross Green raised £729 for the Liam Fairhurst Foundation, significantly more than last year’s £500.
The foundation supports young children with cancer or disabilities.
General manager Andy Pipe and his team at the pub organised tag rugby, wellie tossing, a ‘Man versus Food’ challenge and tug of war.
Visitors took part in classic village fete games such as pelting the coconut shy and beat the goalie, whilst tucking into a barbecue, cakes and the odd pint from the beer tent.
