A COW was rescued from a river last night.
One crew from Ely, one crew from Cambridge and a rescue vehicle from Cambridge were called to reports of a cow trapped in a river near the level crossing in Little Thetford at 8.20pm.
Firefighters used animal rescue techniques to release the cow and returned to their stations by 9.55pm.
