Supermarket giant Asda launched a new mini-supermarket in Soham on Tuesday.
Residents of Millbrook House, in Lode Close, helped cut the ribbon on their new mini Asda branch – which will open two days a week.
The new smaller outlet will sell all the essentials and residents will also be able to put in requests for items from the main store, located nearby in Clay Street.
Tuesday’s opening was masterminded by Asda’s community team Wendy Rodriguez and Peter Whyborn, who were instrumental in organising the change-over of the former mini Budgens outlet in the home.
A spokesman for Asda said: “Judging by the queue of people on Tuesday morning, we hope that our new store was well received.”
