An exhibition to celebrate Soham’s leading ladies was held in the town library last Saturday.
The Soham Heritage and Tourism group hosted an exhibition featuring woman from East Cambridgeshire and further afield who have played a part in Soham’s history through the ages.
The display also included an array of artefacts and examples of clothing from the last 100 years to the present day, all from Soham Heritage and Tourism’s collection.
Among the women featured was warrior queen Boudicca, famous for defying the Romans, and Etheldreda, who is believed to have founded the first Christian church in Ely.
