The Bishop of Ely officially installed Revd Dr Alex Hughes as the Archdeacon of Cambridge at a special service held in Cambridge St Mary the Great on Sunday.
In welcoming Alex and his family to the diocese, the Rt Revd Stephen Conway, said: “We are delighted to welcome Alex, Sarah, Thomas and Joseph to the Diocese of Ely. Alex brings great strengths and the clergy and people of the Archdeaconry of Cambridge look forward to getting to know him and to working with him as their Archdeacon.”
The Ven Alex Hughes said: “I look forward to continuing to getting to know and to serve the parishes and deaneries of the Archdeaconry of Cambridge, and to working with the board of education in support of the church’s ministry in schools.”
