Veterans of 115 Squadron, who were based at RAF Witchford during the Second World War, returned with family and friends on Sunday for a short service of Remembrance.
The service, at the memorial dedicated to those who failed to return to Witchford, was addressed by the Rev Teresa Dixon from St Andrew’s Church, Witchford.
RAF Witchford is now the Lancaster Way Business Park.
After a buffet lunch provided by the Witchford Sports and Social Club committee, they visited the RAF Witchford Display of Memorabilia, at the business park, which is dedicated to those who were based at RAF Witchford and 75 NZ Squadron during the war.
Sue Aldridge, custodian of RAF Witchford Display of Memorabilia, said: “It was so lovely this year to meet the veterans again and several more families who, for the first time, were able to see where their relatives had once been based.”
