Ely student, Isaac Bateman performed with Junior Prime Brass at the Royal Albert Hall.

Isaac, who lives in Ely, performed with the ensemble at the Music for Youth Proms, which provides an opportunity for young people from all parts of the country to perform in front of large audiences.

Junior Prime Brass played to two sell-out concerts, in front of audiences of 5,000 people. Isaac, who studies at King’s Ely, performed on his trumpet in both concerts, with the BBC’s Barney Harwood compering.

Director of music at King’s Ely, Jonathan Kingston, said: “The opportunity to perform in the Royal Albert Hall is a wonderful achievement for Isaac, while still a pupil at King’s Ely.

“We are proud of him and thrilled for him – he commits to music with distinction and performs to a consistently high level.”
