Staff and residents at Littleport Grange announced that £1,800 was raised for two charities at last month’s bonfire night event.
The money will be split between the care home’s two chosen charities, the East Anglian Air Ambulance and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, and it has also been decided that these charities will receive 10 per cent of all monies raised at future events.
The next event taking place at the home is a Christmas Fete, running on Saturday, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
There will be stalls, games including a teddy tombola with every ticket a winner, guess the weight of the cake, a raffle, refreshements and much more festive fun including Santa in his sleigh.
Staff from the Grange will be selling raffle tickets outside the Co-op, in Main Street, Littleport, on Friday morning (tomorrow).
