Pupils from three schools including Ely College completed 40 mile trek to help children with cancer.
A total of 120 students from the Ely school plus Prince William School, Oundle and Rushmoor School, Bedford took part in walk along the south west coastal path in Dorset over three days.
The walk raises money for the Malcolm Whales Foundation, a charity set up to support children’s cancer, in memory of Mr Whales who died from the disease aged 55.
Damien Whales, deputy head of Ely College, who has organised the trek for the past six years is hoping this year’s challenge will raise £20,000 to take the charity past the £100,000 mark since it was launched.
Mr Whales, who said the children had a fantastic time and learned a lot during the trek, said: “This was the 7th walk and this year has been another incredible success, our target this year is to raise £20,000 which will take us past the £100,000 mark.
“The students this year were amazing. The goal of the walk isn’t just about raising money for charity, it’s about bringing students from different schools together to share an incredible experience. This was again achieved for every single individual.
