More than 2,000 people sampled beers and ciders while being treated to live music at the first Haddenham Beer Festival.
The three-day festival, which took place on the village’s recreation field and in the pavilion, kicked off with live rock music on Friday night.
The beer and cider flowed on a scorching Saturday - organisers say revellers got through 40 barrels of beer and so much cider they needed to order more in every couple of hours.
For the families there were stalls, bouncy castles, facepainting and a barbecue. The soundtrack to the day was provided by a host of local bands.
Yesterday was the day for relaxing, with a jazz quartet, the Wicken Coronation Band, Angels of Kaos (a local choir) and acoustic sets.
Tony Bush, chairman of Haddenham Beer Festival, was thrilled with how the festival unfolded.
He said: “It was spectacular. There must have been more than 2,000 people there and all the stalls did well. The cider was so popular in the heat we had to get more delivered in.
“I was at Sutton Beer Festival last year and I thought we could do that here. The community and the council really got behind us. We had so many people asking to volunteer we had to turn some away.
“The feedback we’ve received has been astronomically positive. We even got a congratulations from Haddenham in Buckinghamshire, who also held a beer festival at the weekend.”
