Members of 3rd Ely Guides had a chance to discuss the city with mayor Lis Every.
The girls were interested to know more about the role of the mayor and were also full of suggestions about city life.
Suggestions included where the funfair should be sited, what shops they would like to see and also the need for the swimming pool scheme to be completed as quickly as possible.
They also discussed how the city can be cleaned up for the Queen’s 90th birthday - ‘Clean for the Queen’ scheme.
The guides also joined in the National Doodle for Epilepsy day and created some beautiful bag designs raising £72 for the charity at the meeting.
