Children from around East Cambridgeshire are returning to school from their Easter holidays – but instead of sitting down for lessons, they’re getting involved in a number of sports as part of All4Sports Easter Holiday Sportszone programme.
Little Downham Feoffees Primary school is playing host to the annual two-week programme, which encourages school children to get active during their Easter break.
Football, tag-rugby and hockey are just a number of sports that the programme is getting the children involved in, and director Laurence Maskell says the sessions have been a success so far this year.
He said: “Our aim is to get children more active, and they’ve enjoyed playing in the five or six different sports we’ve put on offer. We had 38 children come along today, so it’s been really good so far.
The children attending Thursday’s session were also treated to a bouncy castle, which is part of the sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
