Time is running out to secure a place on a course that offers a rare insight into aquatic life in Fenland’s miles of waterways.

The free Fenland Aquatic Plants: Ditch biodiversity workshop is to explore the species of plants and animals found in the region’s drains on Wednesday July 20 at the Arkenstall Village Centre in Haddenham.

The workshop will be led by Fenland flora expert, Jonathan Graham, and will be hosted by the Haddenham Conversation Society and Haddenham Level Drainage Commissioners.

The day, which runs from 10am until 3.30pm, will involve a presentation from Mr Graham about identifying different plants, studying biodiversity in Fenland’s ditches and a chance to visit some ditches and look at different species.

Lunch is to be provided, and for more information, or to book a place, visit mark.nokkert@cambsacre.org.uk or call 01353 865030.
