East Cambridgeshire District Council has revamped its website after receiving over 300 comments from the public.
The council reviewed their website after a two-week public consultation, and has since updated it and is welcoming residents to use its new online facilities to pay, report and apply for services.
The council is also encouraging residents to register to their online self service element of their website through their campaign ‘click & connect’.
Signing up allows the completion of tasks 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which once needed to be achieved within regular working hours. This includes reporting issues such as fly tipping, making requests for a parking season ticket and paying council tax.
Councillor Jo Webber, service delivery champion for customer services said: “This is a fundamental step in providing an improved and enhanced service to our residents. “It is important that our services develop to match the needs of the people living in East Cambridgeshire and offering this facility provides a simple and effective way to connect with the council online.”
Residents who register for the service will be put into a monthly draw to win £25 worth of shopping vouchers and an iPad.
The new service can be found here.
