There was musical entertainment round the village’s Christmas tree. There was a face painter and lots of stalls, including charity ones, along Main Street.

Emma said: “I organised the day in just three weeks and can honestly say that it was worth all of the time, stress and effort.

“I’m happy to report that all of the shops on Main Street reported increases in their takings but most importantly, the village was full of the old community festive buzz that had been lost. We are already thinking ahead for next year. Only bigger and better!”
