Ely Library is to be transformed into a ‘Fun Palace’ on Saturday October 7 – and entry is free.
Running from 12noon til 4pm, the event will offer creative crafts, arts, science and technology.
On the day, there will be community makers showing people how to quilt, make friendship bracelets, and draw superheroes.
Cambridge Science Centre will be running hands-on craft activities focused on the Cosmos, Ely and Littleport Time Bank members will teach people how to weave, and how to find constellations in the night sky; The Ely Makers will hold sessions on robotics and coding; The Rocking Ukuleles will show people how to rock out on ukuleles; and Everyone Health will be demonstrating how much sugar there is in certain food items and sharing healthy snacks.
This is the first Fun Palace at Ely Library, but it is hoped to become an annual event. No bookings necessary.
Email ely.referral@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or contact Ely Library if you would like to demonstrate your skill on the day.
