The A-level pupils are showcasing their “flamboyant garment designs” and fashion accessories at the four-day event at Alexandra Palace that began on Thursday, October 11.

Alison Rhodes, director of art at King’s, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and is a valuable experience that contributes to their coursework, UCAS applications and future employment.

“Our students will be able to investigate new materials sourced from the show, as well as make contact with professional designers.”

Ms Rhodes added: “King’s Ely Fashion and Textiles students achieve some of the best GCSE and A Level results in the country.

“Many students go on to study at internationally-renowned universities and colleges such as Chelsea, Ravensbourne, Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion, Royal School of Needlework Hampton Court Palace, Edinburgh and Falmouth.”
