TEENAGE tearaway Bobby Loveridge, who breached his ASBO by being found on school premises, was sentenced by Ely Youth Court this week.

The 13-year-old from Littleport was given a three-month action plan order, during which he must carry out 24 hours of community work and attend sessions with the Youth Offending Team. He will also be referred to a clinical psychologist.

And his mother Sandy Loveridge was made subject to a three-month parenting order, through which she will receive counselling and support.

Loveridge, of Parsons Lane, was given the ASBO back in August. Under the terms of the order he was:

n Banned from entering any school or college, unless given authority or in the company of an adult.

n Barred from any property or enclosed area of Littleport without the permission of the owners.

The teenager had denied that he breached his ASBO on September 25, but was found guilty after a trial in December.

Mitigating this week, solicitor Robert Milsom said Loveridge came from a close and supportive family, even though the family had difficulties in the local community.

"Between each of them there is a strong bond of affection and respect," he said. "Bobby is well supported by his father and mother and lives happily with them and his siblings."

Bobby had special educational needs, he added. He has been told he suffers from attention deficit hyperactive disorder, he has difficulty concentrating and acts impulsively.
